One of the last places that you can go to and buy some music on vinyl is a great record store in downtown Santa Rosa called 'The Last Record Store.'
I wanted to buy an Amy Winehouse record and didn't want to listen to it on an mp3 or cd. She has way too much soul for digital so I wanted to hear it from an analogue source. As it turned out, they had it in stock! I fully understand that her life seems to be a mess and that's her business, and so what? She has turned in two great albums so far, and to me, right now, that's all that matters.
The Last Record Store is great, especially if you are looking for used records or cd's. There aren't many places left anywhere you can do buy them, so we especially enjoy going to a place where you can physically see the merchandise. In today's world of mp3's and online merchants, it's a nice change.
Here is their address and their number: 1899a Mendocino Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95401
